About the Department

The Environment Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network is responsible for the energy used by the physical sites of the Velocity Interoperability Network and for the resilience of those sites. It sets the energy reporting requirements and efficiency targets that apply to member sites, and the standards for power, cooling, flood and fire protection against which sites are assessed.

The Department was established on 6 September 2026. Reporting schedules, assessment procedures and points of contact will be published on this site as they are put in place.
